Mischievous Mutts: a Look at Sweet William Designs

One of the homeware brands that we love at Purrfectly Yappy is British brand Sweet William Designs. Set up in 2009 by Emma Wood, Sweet William was created after Emma decided 10 years of working in the City was enough, and it was time to pursue her childhood love of pottery instead.

At Purrfectly Yappy we love seeing all of the new creations in Sweet William’s canine-themed Mischievous Mutts range. Any dog lover could have guessed that this brand was on to a success with their doggy range, and it’s been so popular it led to the company diversifying into organic cotton aprons, tea towels, cufflinks and dog tags.

Perhaps the true star of the show is Emma's handsome Black Labrador called William, who is the mascot of Sweet William and the inspiration behind the entire Mutts range. Labrador William takes his responsibility as muse very seriously – according to Sweet William Designs, labrador William just won’t sit still – spending his weekdays in the studio keeping the Sweet William ladies (aka the Willettes!) in line, and testing the products. Busy bee William doesn’t stop at the weekend either - spending his weekends away exploring dog friendly beaches, hotels and cafes!
