Top 10 Most Popular UK Dog Breeds of 2016: Revealed!

We are a nation of pet lovers here in the UK with over 40% of households owning pets! Dogs are by far the most popular of all types of pets with an average 24% share of pet owning households but which dog breed is the most popular in the UK?

Labrador Retrievers are currently the most popular dog breed owned in the UK in 2016. Mid sized mixed breed dogs are actually the most commonly owned but we're being breed specific (no offence to mixed breeds - I have one myself!)

So there we have it, the Labradors have come out on top which is no surprise being the most popular breed in 2013 & 2014 and as a nation we still love our British dog breeds with Cocker Spaniels, Staffies, Border Collies, Springer Spaniels and Yorkies all making the list!
