Dog Friendly Events in the UK – March 2019

It’s that time of year where we’re slowly emerging out of the pits of winter, the sun is creeping through the clouds and your dog isn’t getting AS muddy on their walkies.
It’s also the season where doggie events start picking up and it becomes a lot more enjoyable to get out and about with your pup!
Here’s a list of some of the best dog-friendly events taking place in March.
 

Crufts – 7th – 10th March - Birmingham

 
What better way to kick off March that the biggest dog event in the UK! Crufts is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events in dog history. Unfortunately, you can’t take your pooch with you, but you can stream it live on YouTube, or watch it on Channel 4. If you are lucky enough to get tickets, you’re in for a treat! Over 28,000 dogs take part in Crufts every year, so one is bound to steal your heart. Prices start from around £16.20 for an adult.
 

The Great British Dog Walk

Falkirk – 23rd March
Port Talbot – 24th March
Berkshire – 30th March
The Great British Dog Walk supports Hearing Dogs for Deaf People – so it’s a great chance to do your bit for charity. Every pooch gets a free bandana, and you are given the opportunity to meet hearing dogs and understand how they can help deaf people reconnect with everyday life. Tea and cakes are provided, and there’s loads of activities to get involved in for both you and your pup! Tickets are only £10 with the option to give an additional donation. Children and pooches go free!
 

The Kennel Club Tour – 20th March – Mayfair

 
The Kennel Club are opening their doors to give members of the public an opportunity to learn more about their efforts to improve the health and welfare of thousands of dogs in the UK. You can also view their art gallery and library: the Kennel Club is an unparalleled source of information on dog welfare, dog training and dog breeding. It’s set to be a really exciting, informative tour, so for just £5 per person, it’s worth getting involved!

London Dog Week – 24th March – 31st March

 
March is the month of London Dog Week which takes place on 24th – 31st. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with your pup, no matter what your preferred activity is! We’ve listed a few of our favourites below…
 

Pampered Pups and Pawrents – 24th March – Victoria

 
The Pamper Lounge will be open to you and your pup to experience the ultimate pamper day. This includes a one-hour head to toe massage followed by a Fur-Mamma’s Lunch for the human, and a head to toe massage, express groom and lunch for the pup! Why not take some time to relax and enjoy being a dog parent? Tickets are £82.50 per person or £165 for two people and two dogs.
 

Dog Week x Fashion Brunch – 30th March – Westminster

 
Brunching, fashion and your dog… What more could you wish for? London Dog Week invite you to brunch with your pooch whilst watching the sassiest dogs walk the M Restaurant’s runway, rocking designs from talented independent brands. The brunch menu also looks delicious and caters for vegans and vegetarians too! There is also a chance to shop at the ‘pup up’ boutique where you can view all the best products straight from the runway. Tickets are £40 for you and a dog.
 

London Dog Week x Urban Food Fest – 30th March – Shoreditch

 
Based in the heart of Shoreditch, Urban Food Fest brings you the best of street food for humans and dogs. The London Dog Week crew will be on hand to bring you the best of food and accessories for your pups. There will be tons of competitions, cool prizes and photo opportunities for the doggos to become London’s top model! It’s set to be a fun-filled day for both human and pooch, and it’s free admission!

Dog & Human Fitness Bootcamp – 30th March – Location TBC

 
London Dog Week is teaming up with Beyond Limits to push people to discover new limits they never knew they had. The bootcamp is not only designed to push owners, but Doggos too! The exciting and fun-filled bootcamp will team you and your pooch up to complete workouts and challenges. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a professional athlete to join the fun as all abilities are welcome! Tickets are £10 per person.
