Dog Friendly Events in the UK – December 2016

Merry Christmas to all our two-legged and four-legged friends!

It wouldn’t be Christmas without including our pets in the celebrations as well. Here are a few dog-friendly events taking place across the UK during the festive season.
 
 
3 – 4 December

Santa is coming to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Old Windsor
 
Visiting pets at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Old Windsor over the weekend will get a photoshoot with Santa Paws.  The event will take place from 10:30am to 4:30pm both days; admission to Santa Paws, which includes one photograph, cost £4.50, with reduced prices for additional prints. This year's theme for Battersea Old Windsor’s Santa’s Grotto will be ‘Christmas dining’. Battersea Old Windsor’s Kennels and Cattery will be open as usual with normal admissions fees of - £2 for adults and £1 for children - applying.

4th December

Fancy Walk for Clumber Spaniels
 
Are you the proud owner of a Clumber Spaniel, a fan of the breed, or would like to know more about them? Join Clumber Spaniels and their owners for the second Festive Walk and Fancy Dress competition in Clumber Park, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The group will meet in the courtyard near the NT Cafe. The competition for the best-dressed festive Clumber will start at 10.30am, followed by a walk through the Park, returning to the cafe around 1pm.

11th December

Santa Paws at Mercat Grill, East Lothian

Dogs and their humans are invited to a special Christmas breakfast at the dog-friendly Mercat Grill, East Lothian. Get into the festive spirit and raise funds for the Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home. 'Santa Paws' will be serving up tasty bacon and egg rolls with teas and coffees from 10am to 12pm, a tasty treat for the trail waggers and a present for the pooches. Tickets cost £10 per person & pooch.
