A teeny tiny curled up cat pendant with a bright blue topaz teardrop, suspended from a fine trace chain. Handmade from solid sterling silver, available in plain silver or gold vermeil. The little cat measures 7mm across and the gemstone is 3x4mm big. This necklace can be worn at 16 or 18 inches (41 or 46cm).
Part of the Cats and Dogs Collection:
The Cats and Dogs collection features a luxuriously eccentric selection of cascading canines and felines in free fall, detailed with deep blue topaz brilliants, pears and marquises. Inspired by the phrase "it's raining cats and dogs", this range combines a love of our favourite pets and our obsession with the British weather.
About the brand:
Jana Reinhardt pieces are about personality and craftsmanship, all their jewellery is aimed at people who invest in quality and appreciate the quirky and individual.
All of their jewellery is made in Worthing on the south coast of England by a small team of professional goldsmiths. Their suppliers and outworkers are all based exclusively in the UK.
All Jana Reinhardt's jewellery is made entirely by hand. Preferring not to use computer-aided design or manufacturing, they employ the old methods of fabrication and wax carving. Minute imperfections are embraced as it creates an entirely unique piece.
What is Vermeil?
Vermeil is sterling silver that has been coated in gold. Jana Reinhardt's vermeil jewellery is coated in a thin layer of 24ct gold, which is deposited onto their silver pieces by electrochemical means. Their standard plating is 1 micron thick which should last for many years on earrings, necklaces, pendants, brooches and bracelets.
